Dream Job

I always think about my future career can relate art such as a dancer, a piano player, or a designer. Especially for a interior designer, it is my dream jobs so far. In fact, before I came to America, I was intending to apply the Interior Design in some universities in UK. Even though I know nothing about Interior Design, I still wanted to study at there. However, the reality conditions of my family could not allow me to study something in that field. I was so upset when I had to give up to apply for those universities which are familiar to public.

Because my initial major is International Economics and Trades, I could only apply my master's degree in some fields about Economics in Cal State Fullerton. It means I will change my dream jobs into the reality future career. Although I dropped my study plan about interior design, I will never forget my dream. In other words, I will study another major if I has a chance.

Sometimes we might find jobs that without any connection in our dreams or majors. It is a normal phenomenon in recent years. Therefore, we could not lose our initial dream even if it is an unreality work. I usually imagine how different it is if I am a interior designer. I will use my entire life time to follow my dream until it comes true.

  2. Do not give up. Nowadays, many people are doing their jobs that are not connect with their major. Thereby, sometimes, your major is economy does not mean you cannot find a job which is related to interior design. However, before you become an interior designer, You have to study about it, and you have to find a job to support your life and study expenses. I think you can find a job that connect with your major, and earn money by it. Then, when you are ready to become an interior designer, you can change your job.

  4. Hi Ulrica, maybe if you master economics you'll be able to afford a nice house or two to decorate. Interior decorating seems like something that could be a hobby or a side-job. Good luck, I think you can find a way to keep design, style and art in your life.
